Character Breakdowns:

Antipholus of Syracuse: A traveler in search of his mother and his brother, (20-30ish). A bit naive, but trying their best to not be a fish out of water. A model child.

Dromio of Syracuse: Antipholus of Syracuse’s servant, (20-30ish). Grew up with Antipholus like a brother but is still at his beck and call. They can also be a bit naive like Antipholus but have an edge by being more street savvy. Very comedic role.

Antipholus of Ephesus: A citizen of Ephesus, (20-30ish). A man’s man. He’s the type in modern days that likes to frequent the strip joints. Is never around for his poor wife.

Dromio of Ephesus: Antipholus of Ephesus’s servant, (20-30ish). Another comedic role. Pretends to be more of a mess than he is because they get a kick out of being punished, whether it’s by Luce or Antipholous.

Adriana: Antipholus of Ephesus’s wife, (20-40ish). Loves her husband but he’s never around. Still she does everything she can to grab his attention back to her. She is not going to give up without a fight.

Luciana: Adriana’s sister, (20-40ish). Single and independent. Luciana would rather just sit quietly and read a book then deal with the dramas of married life. Tries to be the voice of reason to her sister, but she never listens.

Luce (aka Nell): Kitchen-maid betrothed to Dromio of Ephesus, (20s-40s). Street smart, savvy, and doesn’t take any crap from anyone. Keeps Dromio on a short leash.

Egeon: A merchant from Syracuse Solinus, (50+). Egeon is a merchant who was separated from their wife and child in a shipwreck. They come to Syracuse and are apprehended due to strict outsider laws. They try to gain sympathy from the Duke by telling their tragic story. Very big monologue at beginning and sets up the exposition of the play.

Duke of Ephesus: The voice of authority in Ephesus, (30s+). Very intimidating but does have a heart.
