
Cynthia has been acting, writing, creating, and instructing in the theater arts since 1991. A bilingual native of Puerto Rico and longtime California resident, she is a Drama graduate from the University of Southern California, trained at New York's New Actors' Workshop, and continued her post-graduate work in theater at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia.
For eight years Cynthia served on the artistic staff of the Educational Theater Company, where she created and wrote several high-concept productions-- including Choices, Crossroads, Respect & Tolerance, Time Out Zone II, and Black & Latino History-- uniquely conceived for student audiences.
A long-standing member of AFTRA and the Screen Actor's Guild and a passionate actor's advocate, Cynthia served on SAG's National Board of Directors for over five years (1996-2001) and was named the National Chair of the SAG Women's Committee.
Cynthia's TV and film credits include CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Days of Our Lives, The Bold & The Beautiful, General Hospital, Murder She Wrote, and The Mambo Kings, and she has appeared in numerous commercials in both Spanish- and English-language markets. Some stage credits include Henry V at the Knightsbridge Theater, The Tempest at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, and Frida Kahlo, Self-Portrait of Pain at the Nosotros Theater.
She is currently an associate and Educational Development Director with the Long Beach Shakespeare Company and directing the student showcase for their Summer Drama Camp as well as an edited version of Shakespeare's The Tempest for younger audiences.
Cynthia is a Long Beach resident and the devoted mother of three energetic, dramatic young boys.
