Edmund Velasco
Edmund
is a professional musician. He leads his own quintet, which has
recorded three CDs, and is a member of the Estrada Brothers Latin Jazz
Sextet, and the Chris Williams Sextet. He has worked with such jazz
greats as Joe LaBarbera, Tony Dumas, Luis Conte, Ramon Banda, and many
others. Edmund has composed and/or arranged music for many LBSC
productions, including As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew, Antony
and Cleopatra, Cyrano de Bergerac, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Richard
III, Alice in Wonderland, Sherlock Holmes and the Scandal in Bohemia,
and Mandragola. His arrangements of traditional carols were among the
highlights of The Wakefield Second Shepherds Play, and he wrote an
entire rock score for our updated version of Euripides’ The Bacchae. More info at
