Professor Thomas Bradac
The founder of Shakespeare Orange Country, and its Artistic Director from 1991-2013, Professor Bradac has been a theatre professional for over 40 years. He founded the Grove Shakespeare Festival (1979-1991), a two-theatre Actors Equity Company, producing 110 productions, and was awarded the prestigious Hollywood Drama-Logue Publisher’s Award for Exceptional Achievement in Theatre for his work. He is a founding director of the Shakespeare Theatre Association, an international service organization for theaters dedicated to producing Shakespeare, and has served as the organization’s President. He has also served on the performance advisory board for the Internet Shakespeare Editions, University of Victoria, Canada. He recently adapted and staged Shakespeare’s poem, Venus and Adonis, for the Prague Fringe Festival. He has been a member of Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). As an actor, his Shakespeare roles include Bottom, Dogberry, King Lear, and Falstaff.
