Synopsis: Tony Wendice, married to his wife Margot for all the wrong reasons (those reasons being money), plans the perfect murder. After creating an alibi, he hires a scoundrel to strangle his wife.The scoundrel surprises Margot, who in turn surprises him and manages to kill him. While Tony’s plan has turned on its head, he just rolls with the punches and frames his wife for murder. Tony gets together with an inspector from Scotland Yard, and leads him to believe Margot had planned a murder. But soon the inspector learns the truth, and must find a way to trick Tony into revealing his plan.
The Argument: This classic tale of love, murder and revenge follows a desperate man who craves freedom and to ensure that there is a loss. A loss that he is counting on so he can find and enjoy his new life. At the end of the radio show, a missing key that is finally found again as a literal connection to lost and found theme of the 2024 Season.
